dc.description.abstractМетою статті є доповнення портрета композитора, характеристика його діяльності на посаді chef du chant Королівської академії музики – відповідального за роботу з хоровим колективом театру і солістами. Під час роботи з джерелами застосовано епістологічний та біографічний, а також історичний методи. Звертається увага на листування Ф. Галеві з родиною Л. Керубіні, який зіграв ключову роль у його формуванні як людини і як фахівця. Розглянуто маловідому діяльність композитора в Гранд-Опера в якості директора співу (хормейстер, репетитор у солістів), виявлено специфіку цієї роботи. На матеріалі листування висвітлено характер відносин композитора з Ф. Герольдом та провідними солістами театру А. Нуррі і Ж. Дюпре. Розкриття побутових таємниць, якими сповнені листи і спогади композитора і його сучасників, обговорення різного рівня проблем стосовно оперних постановок дозволяють розширити уяву про діячів мистецтва та театральне життя Парижа у тридцяті роки ХІХ століття.
dc.description.abstractThe use of correspondence and memoirs by Fromantal Halévy and his contemporaries as information sources is an important stage in the study of the composer's creative personality. The purpose of the article is to supplement the portrait of the composer, to describe his activities as chef du chant of the Royal Academy of Music - the person responsible for work with the theatre choir and soloists. Epistological and biographical methods, as well as historical one, were used in the work with the sources. Attention is drawn to Halévy’s correspondence with the family of L. Kerubini, who played a key role in the formation of Halévy as a person and as a specialist. The composer's little-known activities at the Grand Opera as a director of singing (choirmaster, tutor for soloists) are considered, and the specifics of this work are revealed. On the basis of letters, the nature of the composer's relationships with F. Herold and the leading soloists of the theatre, A. Nourry and J. Dupré, is highlighted, and touches are added to their portraits. Facts about the peculiarities of preparing opera performances to show, the difficulties faced by Halévy as a director of singing (chef du chant), and the means of their overcoming are presented. The revelation of everyday secrets, which the letters and the memoirs of the composer and his contemporaries are full of, and the discussion of various problems concerning opera productions allow us to expand our understanding of artists and theatrical life in Paris in the thirties of the nineteenth century.
