dc.description.abstractДане дослідження демонструє історичну ретроспективу лікарського контролю фізкультурної освіти підлітків ХХ століття. Наголошується на необхідності виявленні особливостей становлення, розвитку та функціонування системи лікарського контролю, з урахуванням соціальних, педагогічних і медико-біологічних чинників. Розкриті основні аспекти лікарського контролю за дітьми підліткового віку у ХХ ст. Представлена уніфікована картка з антропометричними вимірами й інструкція для їх проведення. Висновлюється, що дослідження історичної практики лікарського контролю свідчать про його значну роль у формуванні здорового способу життя підлітків та підготовці їх до систематичних занять фізичною культурою, що залишається актуальним і в сучасних умовах. dc.description.abstractThe aim of the article is to analyze the features of medical supervision in the process of physical education of adolescents in the 20th century. Research Methods. A comprehensive set of methods was employed in the study, including historicalpedagogical and comparative-historical analysis to clarify the specifics of the formation of medical supervision; a systemic approach and content analysis to summarize scientific perspectives; analysis of archival documents and generalization of pedagogical experience to reconstruct practical aspects of medical support; as well as logical methods (analysis, synthesis, classification, chronological ordering) to organize and interpret the collected material. The article emphasizes the necessity of identifying the features of the formation, development, and functioning of the medical supervision system, taking into account social, pedagogical, and medical-biological factors. The study provides a historical retrospective of medical supervision in adolescent physical education during the 20th century. It is noted that medical supervision of schoolchildren in the USSR aimed at comprehensive health support, contributing to their physical and mental development as well as academic success. The main aspects of medical supervision of adolescents in the 20th century are outlined, including measurements of height, weight, and lung capacity, among others. A standardized anthropometric record sheet and instructions for conducting measurements are presented. Medical supervision of children and adolescents was conducted at least twice per academic year to accurately assess physical development and the functional development of the growing organism. More frequent examinations were recommended for schoolchildren participating in sports competitions. It is concluded that the study of the historical practice of medical supervision demonstrates its significant role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among adolescents and preparing them for systematic physical activity, which remains relevant in contemporary conditions.
