dc.description.abstractМонографію присвячено теоретико-методичному осмисленню проблеми формування демократичної особистості засобами історичної освіти. У дослідженні обґрунтовано потенціал історії як навчального предмета у розвитку критичного мислення, ціннісних орієнтацій, культури діалогу та відповідального ставлення до суспільних процесів. Проаналізовано європейські підходи до навчання демократії, зокрема рекомендації Ради Європи, узагальнено освітній досвід європейських країн і визначено можливості його адаптації до українського освітнього простору в умовах сучасних суспільних викликів. У монографії запропоновано авторське бачення інтеграції громадянських компетентностей у зміст історичної освіти, окреслено дидактичні стратегії роботи з історичними джерелами, контроверсійними питаннями та організації публічних дискусій. Видання адресовано науковцям, викладачам закладів вищої освіти, учителям історії та громадянської освіти, здобувачам педагогічних спеціальностей, а також усім, хто зацікавлений у розвитку демократичної культури в освітньому середовищі.
dc.description.abstractThe monograph is devoted to the theoretical and methodological conceptualization of the problem of forming a democratic personality through history education. The study substantiates the potential of history as a school subject in developing critical thinking, value orientations, a culture of dialogue, and a responsible attitude toward social processes. European approaches to teaching democracy are analyzed, in particular the recommendations of the Council of Europe. The educational experience of European countries is summarized, and possibilities for its adaptation to the Ukrainian educational context in the conditions of contemporary societal challenges are identified. The monograph presents the author’s vision of integrating civic competencies into the content of history education. It outlines didactic strategies for working with historical sources, controversial issues, and organizing public discussions. The publication is intended for researchers, university lecturers, history and civic education teachers, students of pedagogical specialties, as well as all those interested in the development of democratic culture in the educational environment.
